CARISMA Town vs. Gown 2016 – The Results

Amazing event last Saturday: great sportsmanship, good quality fights,  safe environment for all athletes and nearly 150 spectators 🙂  This year we had the largest number of CUKBS fighters to date which helped their domination in this show. Total result of 10 wins for CUKBS, 7 for CARISMA and 1 for ARUKBC. Congratulations to all fighters, regardless of the final result; each of you was a winner the moment you walked into the ring. It takes guts and determination to train and prepare for a fight and a great deal of courage to commit to it so well done! Here below is the list of fights and the winners for each fight:

News about the Beginners Course October 2013

busyclassWe had an amazing success and nearly 20 new people joined last night,Tuesday 22 October 2013, and we can easily state we are now at saturation point.  While the beginners course will continue as usual for the next 3 consecutive Tuesday and Thursday classes (e.g. 24, 29, 31) we cannot accept any more people until next order. October is notoriously a very busy month but this time we exceeded our expectations.  Depending on how things go we might have a beginners course in November but, more likey, in January.

Please notice: you must join the beginners’ course just if you are a total beginnner. Any previous experience in striking martial arts (kickboxing, muai thai, karate, tae kwon do, kung fu, etc…) is appreciated and will allow you to join without going through the beginners’ course. Please get in touch with us if in doubt.

If you’d like to check our prices please look at this page. Please notice that Kelsey Kerridge charges a day entry to every non member entering their premises.

ARU introductory class 2013

On Saturday 28 September 2013 we will be running a one-off free introductory class for all ARU students.  This will be aimed at all ARU students (members of staff are also welcome though) that would like to try a class and see whether they would like to take up kickboxing as their main sport.  Total beginners are welcome as well as people with previous experience in martial arts.

Arranged at 3:00 for 3:30pm it will last until 5:00pm with a short introduction and demonstration from the instructors, about what kickboxing is and how it works then a full class (no contact for beginners) will be taught, exploring a few of the basics techniques we use.

The ARU introductory class 2013 will be held at the Fenners Gallery at Kelsey Kerridge and all ARU students with own student cards are granted free entry at reception; the class itself will also be totally free.
