CARISMA Town vs. Gown 2023

CARISMA is announcing the Town vs. Gown Kickboxing tournament to be held in CAMBRIDGE at the North Cambridge Sports Centre on 18 Feb 2023, starting at 2:30PM sharp.

The town represented by CARISMA will be challenging members from both university clubs: Cambridge University Kickboxing Society and Anglia Ruskin University Kickboxing Club.

Each fight will be pre-matched, taking into account gender, weight and experience, following the Wako international  weight categories and Kickboxing Light Continuous rules.  Each fighter will take part in a 3 rounds bout fight in the ring (beginners 1 minute, intermediate 1.5 minutes and advanced 2 minutes).

We are looking forward to members of all these club to come forward and take part is this unique opportunity. Each fighter is encouraged to bring spectators and supporters which will be charged £5 in advance of £8 on the door.

Christmas Break 2022

We would like to inform everybody that the last lesson for 2022 will be on Thursday 22 December at Kelsey Kerridge.

The first session for 2023 will be on Tuesday 3 January at Kelsey Kerridge.

CARISMA and its instructors wish a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all members and their loved ones, looking forward to seeing you all back for a fantastic beginning of 2023.

Beginners Course January 2023

If you are total beginner the next CARISMA beginners course will start on Thursday 19 January 2023 at 5:45pm to run for 4 consecutive Thursday  and Tuesday classes (e.g. 19, 24, 26, and 31 January). Please note that martial arts take time to be learnt to a minimum level of proficiency; it makes sense for you to join the beginners course just if you are available to follow it up and join our club after the beginners course ends and train with us for the months to come.
