Another very successful grading session on Sunday 2 June. 2 Brown, 1 Second Blue, 2 Orange Second, 4 orange and 10 yellow belt awarded to members of CARISMA and ARUKBC. Congratulations to everybody who did very well.
All Sunday sessions between 9 June and 15 September 2024 inclusive will be held at the Histon Road Recreation Ground (see map below) at 5:00-7:00PM when the weather allows it.
In case of rain (or if the grass is wet as it rained previously) we will post a message on this site to indicate the training venue that will be visible under the schedule category please check it if in doubt.
It’s with great pride and pleasure that we announce our head coach and founder, Massimo Gaetani, to be awarded his 6th Dan Black Belt on the 14th on May. Massimo received his 1st Dan in June 1989, when still training in Italy. Achieving the 6th Dan 35 years later is the result of many years of consistent and relentless dedication to training and teaching martial arts to many thousand of students during the last 25 years at CARISMA. Peter Edward, president of Kickboxing GB (formerly WAKO), awarded Massimo his 6th Dan by stating “the club is very good, all students are very good, the way the class is run is very good, everything is very good“. Massimo added: “I am honoured to receive this as a recognition of my work and efforts in practicing and teaching kickboxing and martial arts; now the counter resets and I am looking forward to my 7th Dan in 7 years”.
If you are total beginner the last CARISMA beginners course started on Tuesday 21 May 2024 at 5:45pm to run for 4 consecutive Tuesday and Thursday classes (e.g. 21, 23, 28 and 30 May).

According to our philosophy martial arts take time to be learnt to a minimum level of proficiency; it makes sense for you to join the beginners course just if you are available to attend it until its end, with the intention of joining our club after the beginners course ends and train with us for the months to come.

Following up on the success of the previous event CARISMA is announcing a friendly fight open to all members of CARISMA, ARUKBC and CUKBS, to be held in CAMBRIDGE at the North Cambridge Sports Centre on 29 January 2024, starting at 6:30PM sharp.
This is the ideal chance for total beginners to test their skills in a totally safe and fairly informal setting.
Each fight will be pre-matched, taking into account gender, weight and experience, following the Wako International Kickboxing Light Continuous rules. Each fighter will take part in a 3 rounds bout fight in the ring (beginners 1 minute, intermediate 1.5 minutes and advanced 2 minutes).
We are looking forward to members of all these club to come forward and take part is this unique opportunity. Please click on this link to fill up the application form and enter your details. All applications should be in by end of day Thursday 25 January.
The fights will be strictly light contact to ensure everybody’s safety and enjoyment. We’ll apply the same rules and regulations as per our Town Vs Gown fights. Please read careful all rules and regulations also in terms of kit and uniform required.

We would like to inform everybody that the last lesson for 2023 will be on Thursday 21 December at Kelsey Kerridge.
The first session for 2024 will be on Tuesday 2 January at Kelsey Kerridge. There will be no lesson between the above dates.
