CARISMA EGM 5 Feb 2002
Attending: Simon, Jon, Davina, Jack, Robin T., Raheela, Mark, Victoria,
Yanes, Claire, Robin W, Richard, Alex, Massimo.
- Annie has left and she is no longer the money collector,
Robin T. offered himself as a
possible candidate for the post. The majority of the members attending
elected him as the new money collector. Robin will start his new task as from
the next available lesson on 7 Feb 2002, Thursday.
- Massimo pointed out the various cash flow problems involved in people
delaying or forgetting to pay on time their fees. He also suggested that
for most students a standing order could be paid to the club's bank. Most members
agreed with the idea. During his presentation he explained in detail the fact
that since CARISMA is a non-profit making organization the excess of cash will be
used for social entertainment for the benefit of all members, but at the
same time we cannot risk having the club go bankrupt because of late payments.
- Massimo pointed out various disciplinary issues: even if CARISMA is not
meant to be a traditional martial art club greater attention must
be paid in the general running of classes. Massimo asked for everybody's
collaboration to ensure smoother classes with less disturbance and
interruptions.
- A short conversation about training weekend abroad has been started
but no decisions were taken at this point in time. The possible destinations
mentioned were Holland visiting Margie and Barcelona.
- Massimo officially announced the AGT (Annual General Training).
This is to occur on the weekend of 27-28 April 2002.
The aim is for this to be even better than before and with a greater
participation of members.
- Massimo pointed out the possibility of attending the Another Way Team
AGT in June and most people were interested. The estimated date for this event
will be the weekend 22-23 Jun 2002. An interesting number of students were
keen to attend.
